LALLY KATZ | Three Plays

The Eisteddfod | The Black Swan of Trespass | Smashed

"Light moves as time away from us. But if we move with time, faster than light, then we can always catch up with the past. It just depends on how far away we’re willing to go. How deep into outer space we aren’t afraid to travel"

Through the disco-inspired joy of Smashed, to the dark comic absurdity of The Black Swan of Trespass and the unsettling suburban surrealism of The Eisteddfod, Lally Katz has firmly established herself as one of the most intoxicating and unique voices in Australian contemporary theatre.

Winner of multiple Green Room Awards as well as the coveted Producer’s Award at the New York Fringe, Katz’s plays represent a generational leap in Australian playwriting. Never before available in printed form, this collection brings together three ground-breaking works from a writer who continues to transport and exhilarate audiences brave enough to enter her universe.
